  • All pilots hold a BNUC-S Pilots licence, which is administered by EuroUSC, a specialist assessment and accreditation body recognised by Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA). We have been granted CAA approval for 'Permission To Conduct Aerial Work document' for UK flight operations. Without such a document it is an offence to fly UAVs for commercial purposes.

  • Yes, we have insurance for our machines and cameras. We also have public liability insurance of two million pounds for UK flight operations.
  • Flight times vary depending on the copter and camera payload but are typically around 10-15 minutes per battery set. Larger cameras may have flight times down to around 6 minutes and some lightweight cameras can be flown for over 20 minutes. These times may seem short but with good planning a lot can be achieved and we carry plenty of batteries. However, an average of 10 minutes per battery is realistic.
  • Unfortunately, we cannot fly in the rain! Strong winds can also be a problem, especially if we are flying near trees or other objects, although we do use the world’s smoothest camera gimbals which will secure very sturdy shots. However, the safety of the public, our staff and the craft are paramount.
